MODAL AG
In cooperation with ECMath the Research Campus MODAL has created a transfer company, the corporation MODAL AG, that acts as a commercial basis between basic research in academic institutions, and research and development in industry. The MODAL AG allows offering services to industrial partners that the associated research institutions cannot or do not provide, e.g. professional software development or long-term maintenance of software products. It supports researchers of the mathematics institutes of FUB, HUB, TUB, and of the research institutes WIAS and ZIB regarding industrial cooperation where such services are concerned. In particular, MODAL AG allows transferring industrial research projects that were successfully incubated in the framework of Matheon into a commercial setting. According to its statutes the MODAL AG will invest profits resulting from such projects back into its academic environment and thus helps to sustain industry related mathematical research.Contact
